We thought we had a plan for his cake & theme, but the night before he changed his mind. Not really the best or most effective way to go about planning a party, but it all worked out. I was in disbelief that NONE of the party stores OR Wal-Mart carried Lego themed party stuff! Do they not know how many little boys ABSOLUTELY LIVE FOR LEGOS?! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Anyways, being that it was the night before his party, I decided to make a bright colored cupcake stand that somewhat resembled traditional Lego colors. The only problem is that for some reason my E-600 didn't set up well on one of the joints, and it fell apart on the way to the farm that we had his party at. I had used the dollar store glass candle sticks and sprayed them white, I wondered if maybe the spray paint mixed wrong with the glue and didn't allow it to set. . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-s8OcMACz_3sP1bRkZLbOVZRysAVqebw_DADU9z3BtYmpLvGRYqfgsssHY4H8-NYpMKw5_NBAWXZ_6Ipk3PywYOYVXnOlJWGA0Nu8oJZaYaGF0o3A9F8-zKLCQpnqBc6NeUE3m3_WcKQ/s1600/Max%2527s+7th+002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-s8OcMACz_3sP1bRkZLbOVZRysAVqebw_DADU9z3BtYmpLvGRYqfgsssHY4H8-NYpMKw5_NBAWXZ_6Ipk3PywYOYVXnOlJWGA0Nu8oJZaYaGF0o3A9F8-zKLCQpnqBc6NeUE3m3_WcKQ/s640/Max%2527s+7th+002.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I separated them and it all worked out, just not the way I pictured in my head. . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkFqInqMSRD1_-xQgVUE75nunQ8FZiV38KV-TxWOCxg62DtrRw42mYdL-ey9eHkMPsxcXsgoxcMPWFABipRTfIu28VN2zKH81ySy0d5hgEeCKmsZHnUUtt6wE43osfMTXcLL06SSyNRGE/s1600/Max%2527s+7th+018.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkFqInqMSRD1_-xQgVUE75nunQ8FZiV38KV-TxWOCxg62DtrRw42mYdL-ey9eHkMPsxcXsgoxcMPWFABipRTfIu28VN2zKH81ySy0d5hgEeCKmsZHnUUtt6wE43osfMTXcLL06SSyNRGE/s640/Max%2527s+7th+018.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The night before (when he changed his mind), he came up with an elaborate plan for what his "Lego" cake would look like. I felt bad, because it sounded like an amazing idea, but it was THE NIGHT BEFORE. The poor little guy, he knows what I'm capable of when it comes to cakes, as the below B.O.B. cake (from Monsters vs. Aliens) was what I made for him a couple of years ago. But, that cake took me 3 days and a whole lot of cuss words. In fact, I've not made a fun cake since (it did me in). . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZJilfInqbCZzciAanYjNqFhUEK6gblp8vUszm04mpDGIAb2ztUn8hcFjTvqQygNNcACirFhWNFAZaKkNym1jdgwL8lAb1OYQ1JDDGE9Txi-AyzvT6a2NouhJWYTG6jMgcIczxuEvqnZk/s1600/BOB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZJilfInqbCZzciAanYjNqFhUEK6gblp8vUszm04mpDGIAb2ztUn8hcFjTvqQygNNcACirFhWNFAZaKkNym1jdgwL8lAb1OYQ1JDDGE9Txi-AyzvT6a2NouhJWYTG6jMgcIczxuEvqnZk/s640/BOB.jpg" width="426" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">He settled for his next idea. He wanted me to buy this Star Wars snow machine set, and wanted the cake to look like snow. His big sister put it together for him and we stuck it on top. . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2NQQtCQZemSpDHA6hIh7QPYVMS30E7mNfJRu306se6vwKNpviI0h-XFirJx6sAD5W-BPIk2TsBY3Av7rDriYtcML0C62TSENMSA9ycGuBL8ckli4a8ZV1gSJUkhk9sgjLsQynklErto4/s1600/Max%2527s+7th+009.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2NQQtCQZemSpDHA6hIh7QPYVMS30E7mNfJRu306se6vwKNpviI0h-XFirJx6sAD5W-BPIk2TsBY3Av7rDriYtcML0C62TSENMSA9ycGuBL8ckli4a8ZV1gSJUkhk9sgjLsQynklErto4/s640/Max%2527s+7th+009.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I didn't plan to post ALL fails this week, but hey, I guess we'll get them all out of the way!</div>Alyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01366725017914248545noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869132805659293762.post-50895071523741413752011-05-19T12:22:00.000-06:002011-05-19T12:22:55.671-06:00Sewing Outfits & My Fear of Patterns<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiktyXssZUvzr5Qf4P6iTkxMwnxr9eKxgEgMdQgbV34HwA5j6A3rj0phznDMsPdB4zqKOyxZ3nKIQeZBgHWNVXfJTify_093dRfkBNt778cRn8fadXjLhZaublKQd7-I0Hf7eiV6SmxHW8/s1600/IMG_2838.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiktyXssZUvzr5Qf4P6iTkxMwnxr9eKxgEgMdQgbV34HwA5j6A3rj0phznDMsPdB4zqKOyxZ3nKIQeZBgHWNVXfJTify_093dRfkBNt778cRn8fadXjLhZaublKQd7-I0Hf7eiV6SmxHW8/s640/IMG_2838.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I made a couple of outfits for the 10 year old before our Disney trip. Here's the deal though, I'm terrified of patterns. There's lots of tiny print, and foreign words, and little points, and all sorts of things I don't understand about them. So, I just wing it. That doesn't turn out too well in the end. The above yellow skirt didn't hold up very well in the wash (apparently I don't know how to hem properly). And the below white top I completely screwed up (<span style="font-size: x-small;">it was supposed to have an elastic top...at some point I sewed too much over the elastic and it's REALLY tight now, haha</span>) - it will make it's future debut as a bag :O). . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifMhEyr2vSyXdiUOb7lp6lUEy_m-ugZaAvVlufr7gGmOL1rFDEZNgv4CB_ZDYg9pGYulbjdIaJPQfJuWMwmOuE7Q3dtqvRe8M9v1GG25Q0hv6wNuIrSKnywqG4wasOHzr2Z0WjqJQsjmU/s1600/IMG_2840.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifMhEyr2vSyXdiUOb7lp6lUEy_m-ugZaAvVlufr7gGmOL1rFDEZNgv4CB_ZDYg9pGYulbjdIaJPQfJuWMwmOuE7Q3dtqvRe8M9v1GG25Q0hv6wNuIrSKnywqG4wasOHzr2Z0WjqJQsjmU/s640/IMG_2840.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The pink top and the green skirt both turned out great, AND washed up well. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Have I mentioned how much I dislike my mantel right now? I would love to tear the whole thing down and rebuild it, but at the moment it's at the bottom of the project list. In fact, I'm tired of my entire living room, and would like to change everything in it, but again, I've got other pressing items on the list. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The other night I decided to modge podge the above candle, hoping that somehow it would boost my spirits to have a little change up on my mantel. Everything in my living room is SO BROWN and SO GOLD.....really, really, tired of it all. There are worse things in life, I know. I'm just ready for bright, happy, refreshing colors in there. One day. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Anyways, for some crazy reason I thought adding some white would be good, but no, it ended up looking wrinkled and much like a toilet paper roll. Plus, it didn't "go" anymore with the other stuff I had up there. . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmCFepW5d42bNXbXtN_sIoV5WdZ3As4j7BDz-QIdqr0cfsl7sVq8_WV7oiiv46-h84ls-Ks6U1iVH9ouhw4UmTw6R68QnSo4EVmLoE08ciq79XMJ7XSLq2yXEHOpgQ6YVmoEGovtFofOs/s1600/IMG_3304.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmCFepW5d42bNXbXtN_sIoV5WdZ3As4j7BDz-QIdqr0cfsl7sVq8_WV7oiiv46-h84ls-Ks6U1iVH9ouhw4UmTw6R68QnSo4EVmLoE08ciq79XMJ7XSLq2yXEHOpgQ6YVmoEGovtFofOs/s320/IMG_3304.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I moved it to the top of the piano, I still don't like it. I just need to go buy a new candle. And do something else with the ridiculous ribbon I added to it, and then maybe paint the black a different color. I look at it and think "toilet paper tuxedo", NOT really the look I'm going for. . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfXnPQbWCMztmuxi0t1jB98xz26iNt5E_ReNUnj5X6Gaq4uEyTJisAA-25AJaFh47QuXe8kf4RMmvtnKXpgl8lRglgHIYVVZfr6S2UARv5IiPApFGcCKJLFgFMzLSqiMtxtw1uZe-6V9U/s1600/IMG_3323.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfXnPQbWCMztmuxi0t1jB98xz26iNt5E_ReNUnj5X6Gaq4uEyTJisAA-25AJaFh47QuXe8kf4RMmvtnKXpgl8lRglgHIYVVZfr6S2UARv5IiPApFGcCKJLFgFMzLSqiMtxtw1uZe-6V9U/s640/IMG_3323.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Oh, the things we do when we're bored :O).</div>Alyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01366725017914248545noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7869132805659293762.post-77635842173801838172011-05-17T09:08:00.002-06:002011-05-17T09:30:22.420-06:00Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOevPlsZVvTiDjfIHvPxozM-WctNvL3aKh45qcYSQpPB5DMLh41bQH-c2y3y_Ng4M24PIpGNI5-o8eLo-cOwsirc45z8eNVP8qDJyzX9-4VoSZt13dA7iveupoykXDaQSEhwnoYrUfeOA/s1600/r%2526rr+063.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOevPlsZVvTiDjfIHvPxozM-WctNvL3aKh45qcYSQpPB5DMLh41bQH-c2y3y_Ng4M24PIpGNI5-o8eLo-cOwsirc45z8eNVP8qDJyzX9-4VoSZt13dA7iveupoykXDaQSEhwnoYrUfeOA/s640/r%2526rr+063.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My sister-in-law's birthday was on Mother's Day. When I found out she was planning to make her own birthday cake I made her email me the recipe so that I could make it for her! Making your own birthday cake is against so many rules of having a birthday. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">She is a BIG chocolate lover! So, it surprised me to find out that her favorite cake is this lemon poppy seed cake. She originally found the recipe in a very old church recipe book. I'm a BIG lemon lover and was excited to try out a new recipe. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I thought about making several blocks to stack, or putting a picture on each surface of the block, but ultimately decided to use the saying and go with my own creation. I had some wooden craft frames that I painted and distressed, then put some textured paper behind the glass, and cut the vinyl out with my silhouette to go on the glass. I had some vintage lace that my mom had given me, so I put that across the bottom with some black ribbon. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I grew up with my mom making this fruit dip that we all LOVED! It's light and fluffy and SO YUMMY! Recently I've been using it ON things in addition to being a "dip". We devoured it on our strawberry shortcake last night :O). We've also enjoyed it on waffles and pancakes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><u><span style="color: #e06666; font-size: large;">FRUIT DIP</span></u></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
<span style="color: #e06666;"></span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #e06666; font-size: large;">32 oz strawberry yogurt (or flavor of your choice)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #e06666; font-size: large;">LARGE tub of Cool Whip (I believe it's 1 pound)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
<span style="color: #e06666;"></span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #e06666; font-size: large;">Mix together and chill before serving.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The original recipe calls for equal parts of yogurt and Cool Whip. We likes ours a bit fluffier. I think this Fluffy Strawberry Shortcake would be divine made with lemon yogurt! I also recommend eating the fruit dip by the spoonfuls all on it own :O). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Apologies for my long hiatus...FOUR days before Easter my sweet husband decided that the kids would be waking up to the below sign!! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Last night I started teaching the 10 year old how to sew. She LOOOOVES it! In fact, this morning she woke up and sat right down at the sewing machine and has been sewing all day...um, yes, it's almost 3pm and she's still in her jammies - sewing. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We have some 9" square scraps from holiday rag quilts and table runners my mom made. I remembered that my mom had included some bright green lycra in the scraps she had given us. I grabbed one of our dollar store headbands and made a flower to go with her swimsuit. She said that it held up great at the party while she swam, but she took it off after awhile because the headband hurt behind her ears. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">What do you think I love most about this chandelier? It's beautiful swirly lines? It's whimsical charm? The bright white paint? The candelabra bulbs? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">While those things are wonderful, they're not what I love most. What I love most when I look at it, is the fact that - in passing - a couple of week ago I mentioned to Chuck that I would like to find an old chandelier to fix up for the 3 year olds room....and unbeknownst (<span style="font-size: xx-small;">is that word? spell check doesn't think so</span>) to me he proceeded to stop by the DI (local thrift store) every. single. day. until he found the perfect chandelier that matched my description. Then, brought it home and surprised me with it! . . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFVN6b3xVnposcDBdg6WJVkEEpyXHqVywhT66WBfhTLa9J0DFn1dswDuuBESHRf5G-zgot10F7abb4XJT64n84nyl7oKGv2RJgjt9q-RGbPGRnM2viG-8qkJF5YNGvG_Q3TM6lKt1Ttjg/s1600/IMG_2672.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFVN6b3xVnposcDBdg6WJVkEEpyXHqVywhT66WBfhTLa9J0DFn1dswDuuBESHRf5G-zgot10F7abb4XJT64n84nyl7oKGv2RJgjt9q-RGbPGRnM2viG-8qkJF5YNGvG_Q3TM6lKt1Ttjg/s640/IMG_2672.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I had to wait through a week of snow storms before I could get it primed and painted. I covered the electrical parts with press 'n seal. I read that it's a good idea to put it in a box to spray paint it so that all of the little paint particles get chance to land on the fixture. I didn't have a big enough box on hand so Chuck hung it from the tree, and that worked out great! . . .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy_gefQGTiCcG432SBVdZV25qXhFXuhR20HVOzbBfYQKfzOs79Yg4VE1XoD3u4q-mWxMx25j0g7IGvg10Dmk-ofAlqX9a_LSmbzos94UQ5ZIXlR2oefmOmRDEeHOa5D0JnwTouQ1UNy_M/s1600/IMG_2674.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy_gefQGTiCcG432SBVdZV25qXhFXuhR20HVOzbBfYQKfzOs79Yg4VE1XoD3u4q-mWxMx25j0g7IGvg10Dmk-ofAlqX9a_LSmbzos94UQ5ZIXlR2oefmOmRDEeHOa5D0JnwTouQ1UNy_M/s640/IMG_2674.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The next lovely surprise was when I got home last night from a church meeting and he had shortened the chain and had it all installed :O). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The other day (again at Wal-Mart), I walked passed the fabric area - with zero intent of buying anything - and could NOT resist this pre-shirred fabric! I've always wanted to try to make one...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeT5vx41rsTCubUeJ7HHDkCxDg4DkGouSkn8fsOPf-zId_pAGtJwC1u25YJMST9o-_WhaAGg44vMVbTUEq1NsmV7K_UUNS1hnc6FoImj-8moailHcYaxLPROOf4nJjW74vZmPTstA-V90/s1600/r%2526rr+008.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeT5vx41rsTCubUeJ7HHDkCxDg4DkGouSkn8fsOPf-zId_pAGtJwC1u25YJMST9o-_WhaAGg44vMVbTUEq1NsmV7K_UUNS1hnc6FoImj-8moailHcYaxLPROOf4nJjW74vZmPTstA-V90/s640/r%2526rr+008.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

BUT, the other day when I was cleaning up from the <a href="http://rufflesandricrac.blogspot.com/2011/04/twirly-play-skirt-tutorial.html"><strong><span style="color: #e06666;">Twirly Play Skirt</span></strong></a> project, I came across the shirt that I made the <a href="http://rufflesandricrac.blogspot.com/2011/03/mens-shirt-to-jewelry-cuff.html"><span style="color: #e06666;"><strong>Rosette Cuff</strong></span></a> out of and the idea clicked to make a skirt, so I quickly whipped it up!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It was THEE easiest thing I've ever sewn. I simply cut off a piece from the bottom of the shirt. I had to go small because of a stain on the shirt, but really this could be made longer for an older girl or even adult. This picture may look confusing. I folded the shirt in half to cut the strip, but then unfolded the part I cut before I snapped the shot...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHK3myHFr23P-jUINO1yySOH-KEU0pi4ZFrDXwS4FU4h-QOzLRwHLus3zNyQPmeDSNbSsbZknt2syo7geK0xTU3UQwdcxCbg0uPu-j28_t7EcrJ98CYGHGcNeDsfxImV9dNMhjBQQof40/s1600/IMG_2603.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHK3myHFr23P-jUINO1yySOH-KEU0pi4ZFrDXwS4FU4h-QOzLRwHLus3zNyQPmeDSNbSsbZknt2syo7geK0xTU3UQwdcxCbg0uPu-j28_t7EcrJ98CYGHGcNeDsfxImV9dNMhjBQQof40/s320/IMG_2603.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">With the bottom hem and sides of the shirt already sewn for me the only thing I had to do was add an elastic at the top! See? SO EASY! To put the elastic in you simply iron over about a 1/4 of an inch....</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSu9oEZOOfi6P6Dv-ZFZH4Bomag-yFB6sfmZ8vBWERqEYb-TDa48iujYJ6aIzFGista8dy5mwvpC3_Cv3FwVgnSxwPfsiJCy_-H3kEJUJvcD9ayFd6tvkiyPKmzp3z3PRY2xzkLCbZw4U/s1600/IMG_2604.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSu9oEZOOfi6P6Dv-ZFZH4Bomag-yFB6sfmZ8vBWERqEYb-TDa48iujYJ6aIzFGista8dy5mwvpC3_Cv3FwVgnSxwPfsiJCy_-H3kEJUJvcD9ayFd6tvkiyPKmzp3z3PRY2xzkLCbZw4U/s320/IMG_2604.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then take that same fold and fold it over again to accommodate the thickness of your elastic.
